We are constantly dealing with changes in the process. RPAs are a great way to look at what critical thought is needed in your business process daily, and what does not truly require critical thought. Once you break a group of your business processes into these two groups (need critical thought / does not need as much) you can see how you truly bring value to your customers.
With this insight on value, you can then look to automate and apply RPAs to these processes which are necessary but not core to how your company brings IP to your customers.
