Subscription Online Legal Services

Engagement:

The Client  (CEO)  needed strategic and analytical support in building both the supply and demand in a  legal services marketplace.  We were able to jump right in and prioritize the go-to-market steps and build out product MVP and process.  This 6-month engagement was centered on understanding the Legal Services market and designing a SaaS product to support entrepreneurs' path forward with the security of having a subscription legal service.

Outcomes:

Engagement:
An established client took on additional investment and needed to ensure a scalable foundation to address essential process and data visibility pain points that highlighted critical areas of service configuration and vendor management.

Engagement:

A private equity client was looking to build an acquisition strategy to determine the tuck-in capability of the initial platform company.  We focused on identifying process efficiencies in sourcing, demand planning, manufacturing operations, warehousing, and distribution.

Outcomes:

  • Developed a Sourcing and Purchasing analysis focused on concentration risk, price volatility, and quality control.

  • Created an Inventory Analysis, which freed up 30% of existing warehousing space and provided clients with ongoing visibility into improved demand planning.

  • Completed an OTIF analysis that led to a 28% increase in production capability within 90 days.

  • Reconfigured Raw to WIP and WIP to finished goods flow to improve cycle time by 10%.

LAUNCHING A NEW COMPANY

US Launch of Groundbreaking App

Engagement:
A newly funded Start-up client was looking to establish a Go-To-Market distribution plan for their flagship consumer app.  Based in Tel Aviv, Empathy needed a B2B launch plan focused on the United States dependent on enterprise distribution.  Blackland provided market research and validation to establish seven viable B2B distribution channels pre and post-launch.

Outcomes:

  • The GTM plan was used to close top-tier venture capital funding and build launch distribution partners. 

  • Designed a scaleable staffing plan for ensuing partnerships and distribution

Organize client business needs to sequence the development of their SaaS-Based Platform Administration System to hit sales and distribution goals within particular lines of business while reducing expenses on the clients' legacy platform admin systems.  

Outcomes:

  • Built a cost-benefit analysis framework to help clients determine the cost and benefit of developing capabilities

  • Created multi-month product development roadmaps with clients
